T his motto is the cornerstone of our business philosophy at Westgor Funeral Homes. Our Neenah firm was established by Mr. and Mrs. John Westgor in 1941. Westgor Funeral Home has been in continuous family operation for over seventy years. Our firm prides itself in listening to the needs of the families we serve and carrying out their wishes with respect and dignity.

Ted Westgor, John and Alberta’s son, joined the firm in 1973 as a funeral director and Ted’s wife Kathryn joined the firm in 1981 as an office administrator. Ted and Kathryn purchased the Neenah funeral home upon the retirement of Ted’s parents in 1985; Ted became President and Kathryn became Vice President-Secretary-Treasurer. In 1990 their daughter Sara joined the firm as an administrative assistant, and in 1997, became C.O.O.

The Westgors rebuilt the Neenah facility in 1994 in order to create an updated and completely handicap accessible building. So as to offer the families of Menasha the option of selecting a family owned funeral home rather than an out of state and corporately owned funeral home, they established their Menasha funeral home in 1998.

Sara Westgor became co-owner of the funeral homes in December of 1999, and in 2003, Robert Karrmann, managing funeral director, also became co-owner of the funeral homes. They have remained owners of the funeral homes upon Mr. Westgor’s retirement in October of 2009.

Westgor Funeral Homes are members of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, The National Funeral Directors Association, The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, The Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association, and the Fox Cities Chamber.

The Westgor family is involved in the community as well: Ted is a member and Past-President of the Neenah Rotary Club, a former member of the Jay-Cee’s and the Big Brothers and Big Sisters, as well as serving on the Board of the Valley VNA; Kathryn is a member of the Theda Clark Auxiliary; Sara is a member of the Fox Cities Morning Rotary Club, a past member and past board member of the Menasha Rotary Club, has served on the Board of the Menasha Action Council, is the Treasurer of GRRoW - Golden Retriever Rescue of WI, has served as the Secretary of GRRoW, served in several different areas of RAGOM - Retrieve a Golden of MN, was a member of Menasha's K-9 Corps and served as the Secretary and Treasurer of Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary of Neenah; Robert is the Past-President and current member of the Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association, a member and current Board member of the Neenah Rotary Club and volunteered at Theda Clark with his therapy dog, Rosie, who has since gone to the Rainbow Bridge.  Robert is now in training with Lily, his latest Golden therapy dog.

The Westgor family and staff look forward to continuing their community activities and in serving Neenah, Menasha and surrounding communities for years to come. Thank you for trusting our family to serve your family.
