Vanda A. Evenstad, of Menasha, age 95 passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born August 6, 1916 in the Town of Vinland, daughter of the late John and Pauline (Miller) Kresse.

Vanda married Jack Evenstad on December 13, 1941 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Theda Clark Hospital until her retirement in 1978. Vanda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Jack; three children: John (Margaret) Evenstad, Thomas (Marilyn) Evenstad, James (Janet) Evenstad; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Catherine Ann; and a brother, Tennis Kresse.

Vanda’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a private service. Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester.
