MELVIN F BEAUDRY

U.S. Veteran

Melvin F. Beaudry, age 77, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Rennes Health Center in Appleton. He was born on September 23, 1934 in Munising, Michigan, son of the late Floyd and Tynne (Latvala) Beaudry. After graduating from high school, Melvin proudly served his country with the United States Air Force as Master Sergeant. He worked for Caterpillar Corp. in Milwaukee for many years, and later retired from the Milwaukee Public School System in 2001. Melvin enjoyed exercising, ballroom dancing, listening to National Public Radio, and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers. He was also interested in history, aviation, and Bavarian music.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Teresa (Steve) Slivinski, Neenah; son, Brian Beaudry, Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Teddy, and Lilian Slivinski; sisters: Beverly (Bob) Cotter, Janice Nolan, Lynn (Richard) Beckwith; all of the Munising area, and Krisin (Jeff) Kouri, Colorado Springs, CO; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Sheldon Beaudry; niece Dee-Dee, and a brother-in-law, Terry Nolan.

The Memorial Service for Melvin will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home with Deacon Don Gigure officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI, where full military honors will be performed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Melvin’s name.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rennes Health Center for their loving care and compassion.
