Velda B (Luebke) Drews, age 96 of Neenah, passed away July 11, 2012. She was born December 29, 1915 to the late Oscar and Ella (Manteufel) Luebke in the Town of Clayton. On June 8, 1940, she married Walter Drews who preceded her in death on May 2, 1996.

Velda was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah, and worked as part of their Ladies’ Aid. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons: Burtus Drews, Neenah; Galen (Chris) Drews, Winneconne; Gregory (LuAnn) Drews, Appleton; Michael (special friend Marie Justice) Drews, New London; Russell (Cathy) Drews, Kaukauna; daughter, Janice Drews; grandchildren: Geoffrey (Tracey) Drews; Tanya (Keith) Koller; Trisha (Bob) Aiken; Heidi (Ryan) Haas; Ashley Drews; and Abigail Drews. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Forrest, Landon, and Josephine Drews; Taylor and Amber Koller; and Finley Haas; as well as step-granddaughter, Nicole (Jeremy) Simmons; and her sister-in-law, Rena (Walter) Luebke.

Velda was preceded in death by her sister, Iva (Lester) Nehring; brothers: Delmar (Margaret) Luebke; and Walter Luebke.

The funeral service for Velda will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, Rev. D.J. Engelbrecht officiating. Visitation will be at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Clayton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the church.
