Hello Laus family, A few weeks ago my mother let me know that Chris was not doing well. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She has been called Home where she will forever be an angel on your shoulders.

Please know that there is peace now and the most honorable thing you can do for her is to flourish and continue follow in His path so we can all be together again some day.

Prayers and thoughts are with you all.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. Laus. My children were so lucky to have had her in their lives.

Often my son would tell me that Mrs. Laus kissed him on the top of his head. His words sounded angry as this was not "manly" behavior, but his face could surpress the deep smile that came from knowing his teacher loved him and all her students.

St Peter, when Mrs. Laus arrives at the gates of heaven, give her a kiss on the head so she knows we loved her and will miss her. Tell her welcome home.

Mrs.Chris Laus, I will miss you very much. You were a very good friend to my mom( Laurie Scheibel). Please give my mom a big hug and please tell her that I miss her. You were a very good mother and friend. I will be ever so greatful for meeting you and getting to know your family. She made the best Zucchini bread. I am so very happy that;I was blessed with friendship of Colleen and Kathy. I will miss you forever and always. May God Bless you.

Love, Jenni Hopfensperger

Paul, Kathy and Colleen (and families),

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and becoming a friend while we both worked at St. Mary's. My son Jordan also was blessed to have her as his 1st grade teacher. What a special lady!! I will miss her.

The last time we talked (just before Christmas) she was more concerned about my family than talking about herself, how typical of Chris. She always ended the conversation with "Tell Jordan I say hi". Children and education were so important to her and we know she loved what she did.

I remember her excitement when each of her daughters found their husbands, and then so excited when you both went on to have families of your own. She will always be your guardian angel and be watching over you and your families.

Thank you Paul for sharing your wife with all her students. We truly appreciate all she gave to our children.

I hope you know that so many others share your loss - God has a special plan for Chris.

Our heartfelt sympathy, The Oudenhoven Family Dennis, Lisa and Jordan
