Obituary
Daniel P. Haufe, age 84, of Neenah passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home at King. He was born on July 24, 1932 in Neenah, Wisconsin son of the late Carl Jr. and Clara (Schumann) Haufe. After high school Daniel proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. His latest career was as a key security guard at North Star Casino. In his earlier years Dan was an accomplished table tennis player and baseball player. He was also a state junior champion trap shooter. Trap shooting remained one of Dan's favorite hobbies, though he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sons: Terry Haufe, Menasha; Randy (Janet) Haufe, Menasha; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Rachel Wratten, Florida; Carol Supalveda, Oklahoma. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
The funeral service for Daniel will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Full military honors will be performed at the conclusion of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
