BARBARA WEYENBERG

Barbara M. (Towns) Weyenberg, age 57 of Shawano, passed away late Thursday, May 22, 2014 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on May, 21, 1957 to John and Patricia (Verhagen) Towns in Neenah. Barb was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano and will always be remembered as a hardworking woman, having had many jobs working as an LPN to support her family. She is survived by her husband, David Weyenberg; her children: Angela (Brett) Cartwright; Ryan (Tawny) Porter; and Denise Rehorst; her daughter-in-law Julie Trams; her grandchildren: Elizabeth Trams; Matthew and Emma Cartwright; Gryffon Schultz; William Porter; and Alec Rehorst. She is further survived by her parents: John and Patricia Towns; her siblings: Debbie (Steven) Krueger; Michael (Andrea) Towns; Charles (Amy) Towns; Julie (Paul) Goldbeck; Edward (Andrea) Towns; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jon Trams. A visitation for Barb will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 A.M. at. St. James Lutheran Church, 324 S. Andrews Rd., Shawano, Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Nova Counseling Services Angel Fund in Barb's name. Barb's family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to Dr. Timothy Goggins and the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for their support and care during Barb's 5+ year battle with pancreatic cancer. They would also like to thank the RNs and staff of Heartland Hospice and Vickie Paiser of Paiser's Oakhaven for going above and beyond during their time caring for Barb.
