EDWARD MEYER

Edward C. Meyer, of Dale, age 71, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 after a lingering illness. He was born on March 12, 1940 in Appleton, son of the late Donald and Camille (Verbrick) Meyer. Ed graduated from Neenah High School in 1958 where he excelled in football, basketball and tennis. He then graduated from Ripon College where he continued playing football and tennis. Ed was employed in the Green Bay area from 1962-1967. He moved to Indiana and returned to the Appleton area in 1988. Ed was a great sports fan and he enjoyed attending watching games. He loved the Packers and followed them faithfully. Survivors include his son, Scott Meyer, Neenah; a grandson, Christopher Meyer, Neenah; two sisters: Sue (Tim) Brown, Neenah, Dorothy (Bill) Buss, Appleton; a brother, Jim (Judy) Meyer, Eau Claire; and a special friends, Cindy and Paul Kusserow, New London. He is also survived by five nephews and one niece. Ed was preceded in death by his dear friend, Karen Borowiak. A private family service will be held for Ed.
