CAROL BLOECHL

Carol J. Bloechl, age 91, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Copperstone Assisted Living in Neenah. She was born July 29, 1932, in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Bauer) Schmidt.

Carol graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1950. She married Ralph Bloechl on May 15, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.  Carol had five children in six years, so she didn't have time to accomplish much else, as she had her hands full! She worked part-time jobs here and there through the years. Carol was always willing to help out all her children with babysitting her grandchildren and supporting them all whenever she could.  

Carol enjoyed a little golfing now and then, went camping on the weekends with her family, and enjoyed reading and playing card games. She made the best potato dumplings! One funny story about Carol is that if she was upset with her husband, for some reason, she would go shopping and always come home with a new hat! Her daughter recalls her mom's many different styles and colors of hats growing up!

Survivors include her children: Cindy (Bruce) Loberg, Geri Wallene (Mark Watson), Larry (Sue) Bloechl, Michelle (Jeff) Meyer, Greg Bloechl (Donna Seelow); six grandchildren: Ashley (Dan) Marquardt, Joe (Tori) Bloechl, Monte Wallene (Christina Marx), Jess (Joey) Patzer, Kyle (Kati) Kienitz, Kristin (Joshua) Modder; 16 great-grandchildren: Cora and Keegan Marquardt, Nala, Tessa and Bella Bloechl, Zachary, Nicholas, Bloechl, Mackenzie Flouro; Jakob and Caleb Monroe, Leora and Eli Patzer, Jackson, Phineas, Henry and Abraham Modder; and two great-great-grandchildren: Jaxson and Olivia Bloechl.

Carol was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Cole Loberg in 2004 and Ann Bloechl in 2021; siblings: Ruby, Harold, Frank, Vivian and Ruth; and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Marie Bloechl.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Sunday, August 6, 2023. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
