Obituary

Charles L. Zehner “Charlie”, age 76, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, after a short illness. He was born April 27, 1948, in Neenah, son of the late George and Delaphine (Kriese) Zehner, and graduated from Neenah High. Charlie enlisted in the Marines where he served briefly and then worked for Wisconsin Tissue as a machinist until his retirement.

Charlie enjoyed visiting Montana during the summer, fishing, and mining. Gord's and Papa's were special places in Neenah he liked to meet.

Survivors include his his wife, Mary; son, Dan “Ryan”; ex-wife: Deb; son, Andy, and his fiancé, Cassandra; his ex-wife, Jenny; grandchildren: Callie, Keaton, Tyler and Mollie; nephews: Brian and Jayne Pawlowski, Matt and Chris Zehner; his sister, Kris Zehner; brother-in-law, Jim Pawlowski; cousin, Phil (Shirley) Zehner who were very special to him; and numerous other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dan; sister, Sandra Pawlowski; and sister-in-law, Connie Zehner.

A graveside service with Military Honors with the Neenah-Menasha Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Noon on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.

The family would like to thank Cherry Meadows for all the care given to Charlie.

Charlie was one of my favorite! I would see him almost every morning except for the months he was in Montana! I will miss all of his stories and the time we spent together! He was a great friend and man.  He brought back beautiful emeralds for Tori from Montana that she will forever cherish. Yah Mon to you Charlie RIP Bud!! Gord’s Pub will miss you Lots!
