DONALD NEUBAUER

Donald V. Neubauer, age 84, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, in Nashville, TN. He was born Sept. 14, 1939, son of the late Loyal and Marjory (Hansen) Neubauer.

Don graduated from Winneconne High School in 1957, and from Fox Valley Technical College after studying Power Engineering. He married Janet McCunn on Sept. 20, 1958. They had two children: Andrea Morton and Griffin Neubauer. Janet preceded him in death in March of 2006. Don then married Robyn Stark Theune on July 21, 2007.

Don worked proudly for 33 years at the Neenah Joint School District, and he helped organize and served as union president of Neenah Educational Support Personnel. He loved baseball, golf and was an avid Packer fan.

Don is survived by his wife, Robyn; his children: Andrea Morton (Jeff Zachow), Griffin Neubauer (Sylvia); grandchildren: Kaitlin Morton Springborn (Peter), Charles Morton, Logan and Gabriella Neubauer; and great-grandchildren: Harper, Wrenley and Eisen Springborn; step-children: Mike Hayes, Brian Hayes and their families.

Don was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra (Jerome) Thern; and a son-in-law, Steve Morton.

A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Inurnment will be in St Margaret's Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for the American Diabetes Association.
