DONNA APPEL

Donna Arleen Appel, 64, died Saturday July 29, 2023, at St. Paul Elder Care, Kaukauna. She was born May 25, 1959, in Neenah, daughter of Robert and Lynn (Ball) Lemke.

Donna worked at Affinity and previously Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah for over 30 years as a LPN, in Pediatrics. She was adored by her colleagues, patients, and their families and made a lasting impression; many who read this will agree.

She enjoyed going on cruises and beach vacations with her family and tanning by the pool. She took great pride in her home on Plummer Ct and loved her cats Reggie, Riley, and Rosie. Later in life, she kept in touch with friends and family with elaborate cards for every occasion.

Donna is survived by her son, Stephen (Heidi) Appel; her father, Robert; two sisters: Darlyn Lippert, and  Debra (Jerry) Kunde; brother, Duane (Dalia) Lemke; nieces and nephews: Emily (Brian) and her children: Liam and Isaac; Ross, Alexa (Kevin) and her daughter, Paige; Jarah, and her son, Bodhi; Drew, and Megan. Donna is further survived by her special friends: Jill, Cindy, Jane, Terri, Sue, Jenna, Karen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn, grandparents, brother in-law, Bob Lippert, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service for Donna will be 5:00 PM on Friday August 4, 2023, at WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday afternoon beginning at 3:00 PM until the 5:00 PM service.
