Obituary
Donna G. Houg, age 90 of Menasha, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024. She was born January 21, 1934 to the late Robert and Amelia (Bennen) Casper in Bowler, WI and was a 1951 graduate of Bowler High school. After gradauation, she moved to Appleton where she met and married Kenneth Houg on November 27, 1955. They were married 45 years.
Donna loved nothing more than being a mother and grandmother. As her children and grandchildren were growing, she supported their endeavors and never missed a sporting event, band or choral concert, or drum corps show. Donna was also proud of her home where she kept a beautiful flower garden and enjoyed birdwatching. She also loved to cook for her family and looked forward to any event she could serve her famous summer salad.
Donna worked for many years at Kohl's Department Store and was a longtime member at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha where she taught Sunday school and served on various committees.
Donna is survived by her daughters: Lori (Mike) Dobeck; and Julie (John) Anderson; grandchildren: Courtney (Miles) Raphael; Luke, Blake, and Savannah Dobeck; Alexi (Lloyd Delveaux) Houg; Brandon (Skye Mulder) Houg; Jaime (Tyler) Thompson; and Jaclyn (Josh) Smith; and by her great-grandchildren: Connor, Kaylie, Joslyn, and Oakley. She is further survived by her sister, Diana Casper. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; son, Mark; grandson, Tyler Houg; and siblings: Celeste Radtke; Delores Schoening; Iris Eggert; Arvil Casper; Donald Casper; Robert Casper; and Henrietta Kent.
A memorial service for Donna will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 473 7th St., Menasha, with Rev. David Skarsten officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Donna will be interred next to her husband, Ken at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Donna's name.
Donna's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of American Grand for taking such good care of her over the last 4 ½ years, as well as Aseracare nurses for keeping her comfortable over the last year.
