ELIZABETH PERRY
December 24, 1941 - October 23, 2024
Obituary
Elizabeth(Betsy) Perry, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024. She had her family at her side and was able to spend the day reminiscing and telling stories to her children and grandchildren, which was one of her greatest gifts.
Although her heart stopped, her love never will. In her last minutes she said, "I'm happy- I lived a wonderful life!"
A Christmas Eve baby, Betsy was born on December 24, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI to Roy and Margaret (Loughrin) Clegg and grew up outside New London, WI on the family farm. She began her administrative career at the Institute of Paper Chemistry (Lawrence University) after high school, where she met her future husband, John Perry. They married in 1966 until his death in 2007. After many years of running various offices, she retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation along with her husband and enjoyed their post career years. They were very social and enjoyed many activities, but Bridge was Betsy's favorite, and she could be found playing in several different groups at the same time all year round. She also enjoyed knitting, was a voracious reader, and loved cooking and baking, especially for her grandchildren. The holidays were especially a favorite of Betsy's where she would prepare many old family recipes, treats and cookies. She will be greatly missed during this holiday season.
Betsy is survived by her children: Sean (Michelle) Perry and Katherine (Matthew) Johnson: grandchildren, Mackinsey, Annabelle, and Charlie Perry, Elsa and Lola Johnson. She is further survived by two sisters: Margaret (Richard) Malueg, Mary (Jack) Bridges: two brothers-in-law: Leslie (Sandy) and Robert Perry, loving nieces and nephew. Betsy was preceded in death by her husband, John, her brother, Michael Clegg, her parents, and mother and father-in-law, June (Smith) and Theodore Perry. In addition to family, Besty was blessed with many dear and life-long friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St, Neenah, WI. Visitation will be held at the church at 10:30 until the time of the service.
