Webb, Gary

Gary Hays Webb, 78, passed away on Monday May 9, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. He was born June 18, 1943, in Appleton, son of the late Wilford and Helen (Hauskey) Webb. Gary married Barbara Roth on September 27, 1980.

Gary graduated from Neenah High School, class of 1961. He attended Carroll College and finished his education at Indiana University, where he received his master's degree in business administration. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War as a First Lieutenant. After his service time, Gary worked for Zellerbach Corporation in Portland Oregon as an industrial buyer. Barbara and Gary then moved to Neenah, where he continued his  career at School Specialty, retiring in 2008. After retirement, Gary and Barbara enjoyed traveling to the West coast to visit family. They enjoyed spending their time together  antiquing at various  stores. Gary was an avid Packer fan, and volunteered his time and talent at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah. He was a member at First Presbyterian Church, Neenah, where he served as Deacon, and church Elder. His greatest love was his time spent with family.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara; their son, Jeff; his nephew, Christopher (Stephanie) Webb; niece, Sara (Gary) Dugan; and several brothers and sister's in-law, and many other nieces and nephews. He was further preceded in death by his brother Rev. Mark Webb.

In keeping with his wishes, no services for Gary will be held.

Gary's family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah, for their care and compassion.

Gary was my Carroll College fraternity "big brother". I was immature and struggling with poor grades. Gary was reserved, mature and an excellent roll model who I respected. He gave me advice that helped me improve my study habits and succeed. It worked! I graduated with an outstanding Graduate Record Exam score in my major. That enabled me to become a biology teacher.
