JANE ROTHE

January 22, 1956 - August 28, 2023

Obituary

Jane Rothe, 67, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Sunday night, August 27, 2023 in Menasha, WI.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who made the lives of those around her joyful and fun. Throughout her 40 year career of teaching, she had an impact on countless families by lovingly nurturing each student in her class. Outside of the classroom, she spent her time making memories with the people she loved, taking road trips and camping. She could often be found playing games, watching a Packer game, or creating new recipes to feed her family and friends. The joy of her life was spending time with her 10 grandchildren, especially when hosting holiday parties.

Jane was born to John Dixon and Gertrude Gerarden on January 22nd, 1956 in De Pere, WI. She attended East De Pere High School. She married the love of her life, Craig Rothe on December 19, 1974. They spent their 48 years of marriage in Menasha, where they raised their three children.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah (Harley) Armstrong; her brother, John Dixon, Jr.; mother and father-in-law, Donald (Dolores) Rothe; and her son-in-law, Eric Hayes.

Jane is survived by her husband, Craig Rothe; her children: Mollie Hayes; Melissa (Bill) Darrah; Jesse (Shelby) Rothe; her grandchildren: Sam, Zander, Austin, Tanner, Emerson, Brantley, Adalynn, Zariah, Isla, and August; her sister, Robin Dixon; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Ann) Rothe; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1850 American Drive, Neenah. A visitation will be held at the church from 3:30 pm until the service begins, and will continue after the service until 7:00 pm.
