Obituary
Jeffrey R. Mathison “Bubba” returned to his heavenly home surrounded by his family on Saturday April 20, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee. He was unable to fight back after 3 surgeries within the 35 hours preceding his death. Jeff was born on March 30, 1957, to Robert and Betty (Plamann) Mathison. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing, all sports, hearing about his nieces and nephews and a good joke.
Jeff is survived by his father and his siblings: Sue (Steve) Voight, Laurie (Mark) Dorn, Kyle, John (Deb), Rachel (Randy) Wolf and Robert “Gus.” He was uncle to: Eric (Stephanie) Voight, Cadyn and Gabe; Timothy (Tracy) Voight; Mitch (Amanda) Voight, Jordy, Corbin and Gunnar; Hailey (Chad) Dercks, Audrey, Jack and Charlie; Cole (Amy) Voight, Ellie, Ben and Madie; Jared (Nicole) Dorn, Abby and Nolan; Megan (Ted) Strub, Violet and Nelly; Allison (Seth) Hatley, Olivia, Henry and Lucy; Taylor Dorn; Kylie Wolf; Elijah (Lorna) Wolf, Hixon. He is further survived by his aunts Carol Mathison and Joyce Plamann, numerous cousins as well as his many friends including Jeff “Sweets” and Sheryl Sweetella.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents and his nephew, Nicholas Voight.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Ave. from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A celebration of Jeff's life continues at Stoneyard, (N1739 Lily of the Valley Dr, Greenville, WI) from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to Jeff's alma mater, Fox Valley Lutheran HS (5300 N Meade St, Appleton, WI 54913). Funds will be directed toward the care and conservation of Fox Tale Meadows.
The family wishes to thank Robyn and the staff at Care Partners Assisted Living, Winneconne, as well as the surgeons and nurses in the Froedtert SICU for the compassionate care they provided to Jeff.
