Obituary
Juanita M. Prahl, age 94 of Neenah, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 6, 2024. She was born February 18, 1930 to the late Ira and Lillian Thompson in Clintonville, WI and married Wallace Prahl on August 7, 1954.
Together Juanita and Wally enjoyed traveling around the world. Their trips took them throughout the country as well as through Canada, England, and cruises around Hawaii, the Caribbean, and South America. They were longtime members of Neenah/Menasha's First United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time on their boat, which Wally built himself, the “Northland Queen,” on Lake Winneconne.
Juanita is survived by her nephew, Tim (Audrey) Erickson; and by her niece, Mary Erickson and her children, Fiona (Ben Skowronek) Schimke, and Ian (Jessica) Schimke, as well as by their father, Graham (Michael) Schimke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally in 2015; and by her siblings: Ralph, Frieda, and Rachel.
A funeral service for Juanita will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Henry officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Juanita will be laid to rest next to Wally at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.
