KAREN BURR

March 11, 1944 - January 21, 2025

Obituary

Karen E. Burr, age 80 of Neenah, passed away late Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was born March 11, 1944 to Joseph and Catherine (Laus) Nabbefeld and was married to Robert Burr in May of 1965.

Karen graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1962. After graduating, Karen secured a job as a bank teller at Neenah's Associated Bank. She continued to work there for the next 32 years, retiring at age 50. She then worked hard at gathering a large selection of antiques, many of which were Coca-cola items. Karen was a longtime member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and was a devout lover of her animals. Over the years, she and Bob cared for many, many dogs and cats.

Karen is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Bob; by many nieces and nephews; and by many close friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Catherine Nabbefeld; two sisters: Germaine (Dick) Masten and Mary Ann (Ken) Fischer; two brothers: Ted (Laurie) Nabbefeld and Tom (Lindell) Nabbefeld; her father- and mother-in-law, Ralph and Lucille Burr; and by her brother-in-law, Ron (Ann) Burr.

Per Karen's request, a private cryptside service will be held at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.

In lieu of any flower donations, please consider a donation to the Neenah Animal Shelter in Karen's name.
