LAWRENCE AREND

April 27, 1942 - September 06, 2024

Obituary

Age 82, passed away on September 6, 2024.  He was born in Antwerp, OH on April 27, 1942, to the late George and Eileen Arend.  He married Sandra (Oliver) on September 12, 1964, and had a wonderful 60 years of marriage filled with love and laughter (and many shenanigans).

Larry was a distributor for Archway Cookies where he owned his routes. He moved to the Fox Valley with his cookie truck where he met Sandy, got married and had three beautiful children. Larry sold his Archway Cookie route and worked for the Town of Menasha in the utility department. When Larry retired he started driving bus for Lamer Buses and Larry thoroughly enjoyed taking the kids to school and they loved him. Larry loved woodworking, making different wines, fishing, the outdoors, playing sheepshead and spending time with all of his family and friends. For many years Larry and Sandy spent much of their time at Evergreen Campground where they met some of their very best friends. Larry loved football season and watching his beloved Packers play every weekend.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sandy; sister, Connie Raffiet; along with his son, Jeff (wife Julie) Arend; daughter's Pamela (husband Rico) Zizzo and Angela (husband Scott) Hughes.  Grandchildren: April Bishop, Chris (wife Kira) Arend, Kevin Arend, Joseph (wife Amanda) Skinner, Laura and Samantha Wendler, Nicholas Zizzo, Antonio (wife Erica) Zizzo, Grace Zizzo, Kendra Hughes, Carson Hughes (fiancé Sophie), Keaten Hughes; Great Grandchildren: Autumn Bishop, William Arend, Aubrey and Seth Skinner, Ava, Oliver and Antonio Zizzo and Hudson Wendler.  Larry is further survived by all  his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Larry will now be able to be with his mom and dad without any pain.

We want to thank the entire staff at Aspire living and Moments Hospice for the support and care that Larry received. They all helped us through this tremendously.

For Larry's Celebration of Life we would love it if you wore something Green Bay Packers as Larry loved football but mostly watching the Packers.

Celebration of life will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Visitation from 4:00 PM until the service time. The service will be lived streamed at this link:  https://youtube.com/live/JD8Fgn8XrD8?feature=share  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.

He will forever be my Grandpa Cookie Truck and the first man I idolized and put on a very high pedestal. Until we meet again. I will always love you and I will always miss you, Grandpa Cookie Truck.
