Obituary

Marjorie Lenz Ciske, age 76, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, following a battle with cancer. She was born February 5, 1948, daughter of the late David and Helen Lenz.

Marjorie married Joseph Ciske on February 14, 1978. She enjoyed knitting afghans for family and friends and gardening. Her three dogs: Freddy, Bart and Charlie brought her much happiness.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; sisters: Elizabeth (Bill) Gillette, Barbara (Thomas) Gillis, Julie (Roy) Christianson; in-laws: Mary Kobers, Thom (Mary) Ciske, Helen (Jay) Kobussen, Ann (Rich) Krautkramer, Tony Ciske, JR, Kris and Laura McQuillan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Wolf; and her brother, David Lenz Jr.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menasha for immediate family.

Marjorie would like to thank her dearest friends: Clarice and Neil Vandn Heiden; Jenna Kadlec and Mindy at NeuroScience; Dr. Andrew Ceranske at Radiology; and the Compassus Nurses for their help.

Dear Joe, Liz, Barb, and Julie---My heart is saddened to hear of Margie's passing. She was a friend, neighbor, and classmate with a very kind heart!! I remember as neighbor gals being so excited to show each our new Easter hats only to discover they were exactly the same!!! Margie also contacted me when my first grandson was born and told me she had knit him his very first afghan!! Words just aren't enough to ease the sadness of losing a wife and sibling but even if I don't have the right words, know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers!!
