Obituary
Marjorie Jean Davis reached her goal of eternal life on February 16, 2025, age 96. She was born March 20, 1928, in Winfield, KS to parents, Harry Albert Sipe and Leota V (Black) Sipe. She attended Southwestern University in Winfield and Abilene Christian College her 2nd yr where she met her husband Francis Eldy Davis. They married on June 13, 1948 in Winfield.
Marge and her family were blessed that she was a homemaker, and because of Frank's jobs, they lived in Dodge City, KS; Wichita, KS, where their two children were born; Huntsville, AL; Green Bay, WI; and then retired to Neenah, WI. They both crossed the finish line at CopperStone Assisted Living in Neenah.
God and her family were her whole life. She was a member of Mason St. Church of Christ, Appleton, WI. She shared many days and evenings every week with family and friends gathered around her. She loved cooking and her specialties were her chocolate cake, coffee cake, chocolate pudding with biscuits, snickerdoodles, and tapioca pudding. Fights were frequent to see who would get the last piece of chocolate cake. She loved reminiscing about the country school and old times. She never said a cross word to or about anyone. She was a blessing to all.
She is survived by her son, Jerry (Ellen) Davis, Ocean Springs, MS and daughter, Virginia (Alfred) Ducommun, Neenah, WI. 8 Grandchildren: Trina Ducommun, Peter (Tanya) Ducommun, Thomas (Sheri) Ducommun, Rebecca Montgomery. Edward (Tonya) Davis, Patrick (Elizabeth) Davis, Tim (partner Audrey) Davis, Stephen (partner Kami) Davis. 18 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, her parents, sisters: Lucille (John) Christiansen and Ruth (John) Hogue.
There will be a Celebration of her life June 8, 2025, at 3:00pm, at Mason Street Church of Christ, 2600 Mason St, Appleton, WI. A visitation will take place at 2pm until the time of the service.
