Obituary

Mark R. Hoeper, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 15, 2024, at County Villa Assisted Living, in Freedom, WI. He was born January 20, 1954, in Neenah, son of the late John “Jack” and Marilynn (Gonion) Hoeper.

Mark enjoyed hunting including Deer, Ducks, Bear and Turkey.  He also liked fishing up north, sturgeon spearing, and cutting holes in the ice for all the spearers, gardening and motorcycle rides. Mark loved his family and friends and would help anyone out whenever he could. He also loved his cat, Harley, very much.

Survivors include his daughters: Erica (Rick) Heinemann, Ashley (Ryan) Raymond, Amanda (David) Leopold; grandchildren: Christian, Caleb, Ryley, Parker, Trevor, Trenton; two brothers: Danny (Laura) Hoeper, Mike (Brenda) Hoeper; a sister, Mary (Chris)  Trudell; a sister-in-law, Sharon Hoeper; nieces and nephews: Ryan, Matt, Renee, Jason, Emily, Amy, Will, Katie, Cayla and Jerry; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends,

Mark was preceded in death by parents; his twin brother, Stephen Hoeper; brother, Robert Hoeper; and a niece, Jessica Hoeper.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Fr. Michael Lightner officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.

Mark was one of the finest people I have ever known. We met when we were 14 years old in a hospital room together. We were the best of friends all through high school. We work together at Eggers for a while until I left to work in the paper mill. We kept in touch until the last 10 years or so but I would think of him often. I will his him.
