Obituary

Michael W. Gall, age 71 of Neenah, passed away early Friday, May 5, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born October 14, 1951 to the late Alvin and Josephine Gall and was raised in Milwaukee.

 

A graduate of Pio Nono High School and attendant of Milwaukee Technical College, Mike was drafted by the Army during the Vietnam war and was stationed in Korea. On August 21, 1971, he married Gloria Strahota and together they had two children.

 

After working as an electrician in the military, Mike returned home to become a licensed Master Electrician. He taught electrical courses at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He also worked as an electrician for the Milwaukee School Board before he and his family relocated to Neenah. He continued in his profession in the papermill industry until his retirement in 2016. He then enjoyed collecting nostalgic electronics and radios.

 

Michael leaves behind his wife of over 51 years, Gloria; his two children: Becky (Jeff) Eaton and Mike (Karen) Gall; as well as by his favorite granddaughter, Hannah Gall; and his Beyblade buddy, Alex Gall. He is further survived by his siblings: Judy Molitor; Joanne (Jim) Richter; Jackie Wood; and Jim Gall; and by his in-laws: Ken (Susan) Strahota; and Tom (Kathy) Strahota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law: Dave Molitor and Steve Wood; by his nephew Patrick Richter; by Gloria's parents, Vern and Marilyn Strahota; and by his troublemaker cats, Billy and Buster.

 

A memorial gathering for Mike will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at which point Military Honors will be performed. Mike will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Klinkhammer, Andrea Ebben and the entire staff at Theda Care Cancer Center-Neenah for all of their wonderful compassionate care, especially Shelby and Maureen.

 

Friends to the end. I will always love you - Gloria.

The Gall family, I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I use to work with Mike many years ago in the Milwaukee Public Schools when he was a electrician working there. He was one of the best guys to be around. He loved to tell jokes and made everyone laugh. With sympathy, Tom Jennings

To the Gall family,I went to Immaculate Conception grade school and Pio Nono high school with Mike.hadn’t seen him since our 50th high school heunion.he was a good guy,please accept my sympathies.

I was very saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. I worked with Mike at American tissue mill and went to high school with Mike at Pio Nono. It was a wonderful individual and I am so sorry he is gone. Please accept my condolences.
