Obituary
Neenah – Patricia Anne (nee Fleischman) McCormick, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024. She was born on February 3rd, 1948, in Antigo, the daughter of Frederick and Anne (Sikora) Fleischman. Patricia worked as a foreman at American Can Company and was very proud of being the first woman foreman there. She was united in marriage to her best friend and the love of her life Philip McCormick on September 24, 1966, and they were married for almost 54 years when Phil passed away.
Patricia was all about her granddaughters. She loved spoiling and spending time, especially baking sweet treats, with them and taught them to be girl bosses. She was very strong and passed that quality along to her two daughters and five granddaughters. She raised powerful women! She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies with her daughters, as well as Wisconsin sports games with Phil. Patricia and Phil had more fun than anyone else while watching Brewers games and would often air high-five each other from across the room during sports games on TV. During the holidays, she loved decorating for Christmas.
Patricia is survived by her children: Anne (James) Nelson, Jen Hammerschmidt, and Jen's partner Adam Phernetton; grandchildren: Ally Nelson, Hannah Nelson, Kaitlyn Nelson, Ellie Hammerschmidt, and Tessa Hammerschmidt; siblings: Jeanne Krueger, Fred Fleishman, and Bob Fleischman.
Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Phil, and brothers: Jerry Fleischman, and Bill Fleischman.
Even at the end, Patricia was able to smile and joke with her daughter Anne about watching Hallmark movies together. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
