SALLY KEATING
November 10, 1936 - April 21, 2021
Obituary
Sally Keating passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 21st. She was comfortable and ready to be reunited with her parents, Ralph Eiff and Lylis Yerkie Eiff, to whom she was born on November 10, 1936, in Niagara, WI.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Keating Jr., six children ― John (Peg) Keating, Michael Keating, James (Sachie) Keating III, Katherine Keating Paul, Mary (John) Keating Baker, and Thomas (Heidi) Keating ― and 11 grandchildren: Andrew, Peter, Kevin and Riley Keating; Anna and Klaire Keating; Salomon Paul; Johnny and Betsy Baker; and Jack and Rosie Keating.
Sally's greatest joy was her family, and she was ours. She was an adventurous spirit who drove her children solo on long trips out west, and was unwavering in her support of all the endeavors of her children and grandchildren. We remain close as a family because of her. She left a deep impact on her community as well, co-founding the Girls Brigade of Neenah-Menasha, bringing the fountain of children to Riverside Park and serving 12 years on the Town of Neenah Board.
Because of her love for children, she has established a Charitable Interest Fund in her name. Memorial gifts can be directed to the Sally Ann Keating Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, at 4455 W. Lawrence St. Appleton, WI 54914 or https://donor.cffoxvalley.org/Make-A-Gift.
The family would like to thank her courageous caregivers: Teri Beyer, RN and the VNA.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Masks required. Flowers may be sent to the church to be displayed during the service.
For those unable to attend, the funeral will be livestreamed on Westgor Funeral Homes' Facebook and YouTube pages.
