Obituary
Shirley Ann Everson, age 89, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Emerald Ridge Assisted Living in Neenah. She was born July 15, 1934, in Plover, WI, daughter of the late Carrie Dehart and Festus Collier. Shirley was the 12th of 14 children.
On September 3, 1955, she married Basil Everson and spent her time living in Neenah until retirement, when they moved to Loriville, WI. Shirley worked at Kimberly Clark prior to her marriage to Basil. She then worked for Family Heritage Nursing Home and then Dutch Oven Bakery in Neenah.
Shirley loved trips in November to Florida. At family reunions she always was the “bake bean” maker. She loved and was proud of her three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Tom) Tanvas, Appleton; grandsons: Jason (Sarah) Roberts, Neenah, Adam (Kelly) Tanvas, Denver, CO, Phillip Tanvas, Appleton; great-granddaughters: Emily Roberts and Haley Roberts, Neenah; a brother-in-law, Robert Elwood; and many, many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Westgor Funeral Home, the staff at Emerald Ridge, where she called home the last 5 years, Lakeland Care Nurses and ProMedica Hospice for all their care to help make her comfortable. Also thank you to Cliff from Hospice for the chaplain visits.
A graveside gathering with the family will be held.
