Kay Burroughs

Kay V. Burroughs age 87 of Menasha, WI passed away on October 28, 2025. She was born in Sparta, WI on September 23, 1938, to the late Kenneth & Mildred (Oakes) Burroughs. Kay was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Neenah & a 1957 graduate of Menasha High School. After High School she went to work in the Human Resources Dept. of Wisconsin Tissue Mills, now Essity, and worked there for 40 years. In Kay’s earlier years she loved to travel. Kay was the happiest when she was helping others & working on all her home improvement projects. She especially enjoyed the morning Coffee Clutches with her family and putting together several family tree photo albums from information her mother had gathered over the years, including a photo album of her mother’s beautiful quilting and sewing talents. Kay never quilted herself but always said what a special joy it was to watch her mother & later her sister, Pat Harding, create those beautiful had made pieces. She has several of them in her home & truly treasures each & everyone.

Survivors include her sister Pat Harding of Neenah, her brother Don (Bev) Burroughs of Appleton, sister-in-law Betty Burroughs and several wonderful nieces and nephews who were so supportive of Kay over the years. May God bless each of you.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Nancy, sisters Rita Harris & Valderine Towns, brothers Robert & Howard Burroughs, two nieces, and 3 nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday November 6, 2025, at 11:00 am at Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road, Menasha, WI 54952. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
