Obituary
Carol F. Spice, age 87, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born on November 27, 1928 in Niagara, Wisconsin to the late John and Nora Buehler. Carol graduated from Niagara High School and moved to Neenah to work at Kimberly Clark. She married Charles Spice on April 23, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah and raised four children together. Carol always had a strong faith and was a longtime member at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Neenah. While she was there, she taught Sunday school and participated in bible studies. She had a great passion for sewing, quilting, and being outdoors. Carol always stayed active by taking walks and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Cynthia (John) O'Brien, Tom (Joanne) Spice, and Lisa (Joseph) Pontillo; grandchildren: Andrew (Nicole) O'Brien, Gerald (Stacey) Hunter, Eric (Heidi) Hunter, Megan (Pablo Jimenez) Baldauf, Katie (Jason) Eggert, Matthew Baldauf, Laura Pontillo, and Sara Pontillo; and great-grandchildren: Avery, Autumn, and Hayden Hunter. She is further survived by her twin sister Clarice (Lloyd) Kleinhenz; sister Donna (Robert) Berganini; and brothers Maynard (partner Bea) Buehler and Gary Buehler.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Charles Spice; son Daniel Spice; sister Janice Stoveken; brother Kenneth Buehler; and infant brother Clayton Buehler.
The Funeral Service for Carol will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial Street, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) or Wisconsin Autism Society are appreciated in Carol's loving memory.
Carol's family would like to thank Park View Health Center and the staff at Prairie Side South for all of their care and compassion. They'd also like to thank ThedaCare Hospice for their care and support they've shown to Carol and her family.
