WILLY SPINNER

On Sunday, September 6, 2015, the Good Lord called lovingly Willy Spinner to his eternal home. Willy Spinner, born August 18, 1921 in Sumatra, Indonesia was the son of the late Heinrich and Ida Spinner. In 1948, he married Monique Kroepfli and in 1951 they emigrated from Switzerland to Canada. In 1953 they moved to the U.S.A. and lived in Chicago for many years before moving to Beloit, WI. In 1968 he and his family moved to Neenah where he started a job with Kimberly-Clark as an engineer, retiring after 20 years in 1988. Willy enjoyed the state of Wisconsin; it reminded him of his country, Switzerland, he left behind in 1951. Willy is survived by his two children: Peter (Beth) Spinner and Sylvia (Gary Sterken) Spinner; three grandchildren: Noah and Adam Spinner, sons of Peter and Beth; and Elizabeth Schneider, daughter of Bill Schneider and Sylvia. His wife Monique preceded him in death. A memorial service for Willy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Faith United Methodist Church, 1025 Tullar Rd., Neenah, Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. The visitation will be held at church from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lay Care Ministries at Faith United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
