Janet Marion (Knippel) Travis passed away October 17, 2025. She was born August 22, 1933, in Milwaukee, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Elsie Knippel. On June 30, 1951, she married V.J. “Jack” Travis. She is survived by two daughters: Jeri Travis, Neenah and Jean (Randy) Burgess Corvallis, Oregon, and son James (Mary) Travis in Clintonville. Janet is further survived by grandchildren: Adam Burgess, Lindsay (Anthony) King, Taylor Travis, Logan (Megan Walsh) Travis, Jason (Sheila Xie) Strnad, and Jerime Strnad and great grandchildren Caitlyn and Megan Kroeger, and Peyton and Grayson King, and Cage Strnad.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack (2016), mother Elsie (1980), father Thomas (1985), sister Vera (1991) and sister Edith (2015).
Janet’s wishes are to have a private service for the family that will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah on Thursday October 23.
