CHARLES ROHR

Charles A. Rohr, age 81 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March4, 2014. He was born January 12, 1933 to the late Paul Jr. and Antonia Rohr in Milwaukee. He attended Menasha High School and then enlisted in the Army; fighting in Vietnam and Korea. During his time in service, he met and married Emma Grasmugg in Schwabach, Germany. After his retirement from the military, Charles became a self-made businessman and opened a restaurant with Emma. In his retirement from entrepreneurship, he enjoyed hunting and fishing at his cottage, bowling, and playing sheepshead. He also enjoyed his grandkids immensely. Charles will be sadly missed by his wife, whom he cherished through 57 years of marriage, Emma; his five children: Vera (Norbert) Tusche; Zellestine "Evi" (Mark) Gerrits; Charles W. Rohr; Donna (George) Wojcik; and John (Valerie) Rohr; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is further survived by his siblings: Bill, Clara, and Earl. Charles was preceded in death by his brother Richard. A memorial service for Charles will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with full military honors to follow. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
