RICHARD ERDMANN

Richard J. Erdmann, "Rick" of Neenah, age 67, passed away peacefully at Theda Clark Medical Center on Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was born February 2, 1947 in Neenah, son of the late Robert and Virginia (Mews) Erdmann. Rick was an avid computer "Geek". He had a love for fishing and photography and he was very involved with his church, Calvary Chapel, in Appleton. Rick had taken under his wing, Adam Caswell, and thought lovingly of Adam as his son. He was very involved with his High School class reunion committee and had been a leader with the Boys' and Girls' Brigade for many years. Rick also was a Best Friend for 2 children for many years. Survivors include his daughter, Dr. Chris Erdmann; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his extended church family at Calvary Chapel. Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Robin; and a sister, Roberta Hoppe. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Calvary Chapel, 2136 E. Newberry St., Appleton, with The Rev. Dwight Douville officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Calvary Chapel. A special thank you to the Theda Clark ICU, and to the Doctors and Nurses during Rick's stay, for all their care and compassion.
