Evaline LeBouton

Evaline M. LeBouton, age 92 of Neenah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, the morning of September 20, 2026. She was born September 13, 1934 to the late Frank and Agnes Kapaun, in Alice ND. On August 4, 1956 she married Robert J. LeBouton at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo, ND. The two settled in Neenah soon after, considering the community their true home.

Evy proudly graduated from The Sisters of St. Joseph School of Nursing Class of 1955. This began her career as a Registered Nurse at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital after her marriage. She continued with employment at OB/GYN Associates, finishing her 42 years as a Registered Nurse at Menasha Corporation in 1995. Evy was a powerful influence with her granddaughter Jennifer, also pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner. She was a long-time member of St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church, serving on many committees and programs. Evy was a proud member of the Y-NOTS for 14 years, singing and performing funny skits for area care facilities. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and always enjoyed playing cards and table games. Dressing up and cheering for the Packers every season was her passion! She loved being grandma and GG and was delighted to be with the children whenever possible.

Evy is survived by her children: Gary (Anne) LeBouton, Wautoma, WI; Karen LeBouton, Madison, WI; Shari (Larry) Brack, Sheboygan, WI; and David LeBouton, Sheboygan Falls, WI; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Joe) Bush; Jennifer (Hans) Banholzer; Benjamin Brack; Gregory (Christine) Brack and Tyler Brack; great-grandchildren: Madison, Bryson, Mila Banholzer; and Adeline Brack. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Mary Kapaun; as well as by her many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. Evy made friends everywhere she went and everyone was a blessing to her, especially Geri Hase, Bernice Zuehlke and Gene Lerza.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Bob; siblings: Eugene Kapaun; and Paul (Rachel) Kapaun; Richard Kapaun; and sister Annette Hofstrand, brother-in-law Harold LeBouton; sister-in-law: Shirley (Ray) Stuiber.

A funeral mass for Evy will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, October 2, 2026 at St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Evy will be laid to rest alongside Bob at. St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church or to Pine Haven Christian Community Prairie Crossings Sheboygan Falls, WI Activity Fund.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the nurses and staff at Rocky Knoll Rehab facility, 5th floor of St. Nicholas Hospital, and Pine Haven Christian Home for their outstanding care and compassion. Thank you especially to Amy, Loli, Mitch, Irene, Jane, William, Laquita and Cathy. Thank you, also, to her friends, old and new, of the Highlands of Neenah and Pine Haven Prairie Crossing. Your friendship meant so much!
