DIANE DUCKLOW

Jesus took Diane Lorraine Ducklow home on December 9, 2024. She was born on January 15, 1947 to Henry and Eleanore Felker in Oshkosh.

On June 6, 1968, she married Gary Luft and the two moved to Fort Collins to accommodate his career in the Army. After moving back to Oshkosh, Diane worked as a legal secretary for both George Kurtis and Dean Grant.

On April 28, 1986, Diane took on a job at Neenah City Hall. She worked there until her retirement on June 30, 2015 as a secretary for the city attorney and for the mayor, simultaneously.

On May 18, 1991, Diane married her husband, Thomas Ducklow, and the two lived happily in Neenah until her peacefully passing in their home.

Diane is survived by her husband, Tom; her children: Lance (Traci) Luft, and Shane Luft; her step-children: Jessica (John) Heath, Eric (Kristin), Nicholas (Kris); grandchildren: Arin Luft, Lindsay Smith, Logan Luft; step-grandchildren: Jaden and Evie Heath; Henry and Braxton Ducklow; Macey and Hayze Johnson; and Elleana and Sullivan Ducklow, and great-grandchildren: Austin Luft; Henry and Zeke Lopez; and Kellin Poquette.

She is further survived by her sister, Pat Carpenter and her children: Spike (Heather) and their kids, Henry, Hazel and Charlie; Andrea and her daughter, Marley Rose; and Katie (Greg) and their kids, Dominic and Eleanore; and by her brother, Ron Felker and his kids: Kelly, Scott, and Sean, all of whom lovingly called her “Aunt Dede.”

Diane will be remembered for her generosity and her love of Christmas gift-giving as well as her talent for cooking and crafting. She was an absolute sweetheart who treated everyone like they were a part of her family, which was most important in her life.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Dan Carpenter; sister-in-law, Judy Felker; and by her father-in-law, Robert G. Ducklow.

A celebration of Diane's life will be held in the spring.
