Joan N. Kilpatrick
“Mom” “Gram” and “GG”
Joan N. Kilpatrick, age 97, of Neenah, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 following a brief illness. She was born on December 13, 1927, daughter of the late Wilbur and Nellie (Bray) Speth in Belmont, WI. Joan graduated from Belmont High School. She married Robert “Bob” Kilpatrick on August 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1999. Bob, Joan and their son Dan lived in Belmont for many years. She was a cook for the Belmont School District until they moved to South Dakota and then later to Marysville, Kansas to follow Bob's career. In 2014, Gram moved to Neenah to be near her family. She resided at The Highlands and became friends to several lovely people. It was during this time that she thoroughly enjoyed attending numerous activities of her seven great-grandchildren. GG furthered enjoyed being around family for various activities, holidays and celebrations. Recently, Gram resided at the VNA in Neenah. This past Christmas, she was able to enjoy a Christmas Day with her entire family. This consisted of singing, eating, opening gifts and being with family.
Joan is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Dan (Kathy Foley) Kilpatrick, Neenah; three grandchildren and seven great-children: Kelly (Rich) Klesmit, Neenah and their children Max, Cal and Rowan; Jason “Jake” (Tania) Kilpatrick, Appleton and their children Emmaline “Emma” and Alix; Jen (Matt) Schmidt, Neenah and their children Eli and Macy. Joan is further survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her extended Foley Family.
Joan was preceded in death by her brother Jim (Dorothy Mae) Speth and a sister June (Robert) Eustice and several in-laws.
Consistent with Joan's wishes, no formal services will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
