DENNIS BUKSYK

Dennis D. Buksyk, of Neenah, age 67, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born January 29, 1947 in Neenah, son of the late David and Marvel (Smith) Buksyk. Dennis served in the US Marines and did two Tours in Vietnam. Following his service he came back to Neenah and married Kathy Ruesch in March of 1970. She preceded him in death on December 12, 1990. Dennis retired from Kimberly Clark after 20 years of employment. He enjoyed riding Harley's and raced both motorcycles and boats. Dennis also was an avid antique collector and loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends, sitting around the fire, at his cabin in Tomahawk. Survivors include his fiancé, Sue Parks; two children: Rob (Cassandra) Buksyk, Emily Buksyk and fiancé, James Meisel; three step-children: Melissa, Krista (Dennis), Jimmy (Sam); six grandchildren: Ella, Macy, Lily, Dayton, Kaylyn and Kayley; three brothers: David (Connie) Buksyk Jr, James (Kerrie) Buksyk, Michael (Doris) Buksyk; three sisters: Peggy (Don) Hansen, Sue (Dick) Roou, Joy (Todd) Henkel; and his extended family, known as the "Scab Heads." A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from Noon until 2:00 PM. There will then be a graveside service held immediately following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the US Marines and the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
