Obituary
Robert (Bob) Edward Glisczinski, 75, of Hortonville, WI, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by his wife, sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
Born to Edward and Edwina Glisczinski in Appleton, WI, Bob dedicated his life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. He graduated from St. Mary High School and, after earning his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, built a distinguished career as a neurological nurse practitioner. In 1972, Bob married the love of his life, Suzanne (Sue) Christman, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, devotion, and countless shared adventures.
Throughout his career, Bob was known for his compassion, skill, and dedication. His deep empathy and sharp intellect made him a trusted caregiver and colleague, and he touched countless lives through his work and mentorship in the medical community. He had a special ability to bring warmth and humor into even the most challenging situations, often using his teasing jokes and quick wit to put others at ease and show he cared.
Outside of his work, Bob found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful moments. He was an avid reader, golfer who cherished time on the course with his brothers and friends, and a gifted woodworker who built beautiful furniture by hand — each piece crafted with care and patience. He was also a music lover who rarely missed a chance to dance with his beloved wife, Sue, often with a glass of wine nearby. Together, they shared more than fifty years of laughter, love, and partnership — from raising their sons to hosting family gatherings and finding joy in everyday moments together.
Bob took great pride in his sons, Jamison and Nicholas, and adored his granddaughters, Josephine and Molly, who brought him immeasurable joy. Their laughter was one of his favorite sounds, and his eyes lit up whenever they were near.
In recent years, Bob faced several health challenges with remarkable strength, positivity, and grace. His resilience and optimism were an inspiration to all who knew him — a reflection of the same quiet determination he brought to every part of his life.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sue; his two sons, Jamison (Nicole) Glisczinski and Nicholas Glisczinski; two cherished granddaughters, Josephine and Molly; his sister, Marlene Straubel; and three brothers, Ken (Bets) Glisczinski, Don (Barb) Glisczinski, and Jeff (Mary) Glisczinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edwina Glisczinski.
Those who knew Bob will remember his kindness, humor, and generosity of spirit. His legacy lives on in the family he loved deeply, the laughter he shared, and the many lives he enriched through his work and friendship.
The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the care teams at both ThedaCare in Neenah and Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 15, 2025, at The Spot on Main, 226 Main Street, Menasha, WI from 1-4 p.m."The world is full of Miracles, but none greater than how far a person can be carried by those who love and believe in them"
