Obituary
Hannah Gertrude Gregory (Anderson), age 101 of Neenah, passed away on November 30th. She was born on February 21, 1917 in Garfield township, Deronda, Polk County, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Knuston) Anderson.
She married the late Victor Leroy Gregory on May 2, 1944 at the parsonage of St. John's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. They had been married for 33 years when he died in March of 1978. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Eisenach (Jay), and son Gene, and grandson Tim. She was proceeded in death by her son, Wayne and his wife Carolyn Gregory, and son-in-law Steven Eisenach; sisters: Pearl Olson (Fred); Norma Anderson (Henry), Dorothy Mortimer (Max) and Clarice Kendell (Clyde); brothers: Lester Anderson (Lucille), Orin Anderson (Alice) and Lemoine Anderson; In-laws included Lucille (Fred) Wenner. Lesile (Tina) Gregory, Milon (Katherine) Gregory, Gordon (Eleanor) Gregory, Dorothy (Al) Norris and Lois (Dale) Nelson; and brother-in-law Darrel Wilkerson.
She has been a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Neenah since 1964 and has served in many area's including the Alter Guild, Mission Auxiliary, and teaching Sunday school. Hannah was a former member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha where she also volunteered much of her time.
After High School she attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also worked at the Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she met her husband. After being married for 33 years when her husband passed away she started taking care of more than one hundred children. During which time she took care of the four Stern boys for more than ten years. The youngest Russell was only six months old at the time. Since that time she has made her home with her son Gene.
A funeral service for Hannah will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Pastor Dennis Ellisen officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Hannah will be laid to rest alongside Victor at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
