Kerry Freeman. It is with great sadness that I mourn the loss of my greatest childhood friend. Between the ages of 8 and 20, we were together almost all of our waking hours. Although it was only 10-12 years, it seemed like a lifetime-we packed a lot of growing up and memories into that time. Living next door to one another we were always doing something together. One thing I remember was building Gene’s pole vaulting pit so he could practice at home to help him get the RCHS record that stood for many years. I regret that time and distance have not kept us closer over the years. RIP my friend and perhaps we will climb trees together again someday. Kerry

Mike and I send our deepest condolences to Cindy and all of Gene's family. We knew both Gene and Cindy from Great Northern Corporation and worked with Gene for many years. We credit Gene for bringing Mike back to GNC Appleton from his job in Racine so we could be together! Mike says it's one of the best things that ever happened to him at GNC. Thank you Gene! So many good memories. May those memories bring you peace in your time of sorrow.

To my "Big Brother at GNC"... I will always remember our great times at work. We did so many good things with that old software that are still being used today. I will always remember the laughs but our best story was outside of work. You gave me 2 tickets to the PGA at Kohler. I was there with a friend, sitting on a small hill along the water on a par 3 above the green. Some guy hit a ball our way. It made a small thud sound. It landed on a jacket next to me. I picked it up and said "Here it is!". I had dozens of people scream simultaneously "PUT IT DOWN!". I told you that story and never saw anybody laugh so hard. You will be missed, my friend.
