Jason Klavetter
May 07, 1979 - November 05, 2025
Obituary
In Loving Memory:
A soul taken much before his work on Earth was accomplished, Jason (“Jay”) Klavetter was taken from us on Wednesday, November 5th. While words cannot fully capture the depth of our unexpected loss, we remember his life; adventurous, filled with kindness, generosity, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew him.
Born into a loving and supportive family, he grew up surrounded by warmth and laughter. Throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering community support, infectious smile, and the ability to brighten any room. Whether it was through acts of kindness, a listening ear, or a shared moment of joy, his presence had a profound impact on those around him.
His dedication extended beyond family and friends into the community, where he volunteered his time and talents to Monarchs and gardening; becoming a Master Gardener himself. His patience and insight with his students showed his true character, always going above and beyond! His legacy endures in the lives he touched and the love he gave.
He leaves behind cherished family, devoted friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. Survivors are his mother, Jeanne (Douglas) De Beare; brother, Jeffrey (Jodi) Basler; sister, Kristina (David) Schmidt; a niece and nephew: MaKenzi Schmidt, Lance (Megan) Schmidt; two great-nieces: Hadley and Avery Schmidt; and his three dogs: Adelaide, Willow and Mama Willow. Jason was preceded in death his father, William Klavetter; paternal grandparents, Adelaine (Walter) Klavetter; materal grandparents, Earl and Virginia Kohler; and two dogs: Kazmo and Nova. While we mourn his passing, we celebrate the remarkable life he led a legacy of compassion, inspiration, and unwavering love for animals, nature, and the great outdoors.
A memorial service will be held to honor his memory at 6:00PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until the service. In lieu of flowers, after memorial expenses, unused donations will be given to the Neenah Animal Shelter, as a reflection of his generous spirit.
May his young soul rest in eternal peace. He will be dearly missed, forever loved and always remembered.

I am honored to have called Jay my neighbor. He was always quick to share a warm hello and a friendly wave. I loved seeing his artwork and the way he cared for nature, the monarchs, his garden, and his dogs. He brought so much quiet beauty to our neighborhood. He will be greatly missed, and my heart breaks for all who knew and loved him.
