Susan Abhold

Susan J. Abhold, age 73, of Neenah, passed away peacefully late Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born on February 21, 1952, to the late Clifford and Bonnie (Maney) Carlson. On December 11, 1971, Susan married the love of her life, Jack Abhold, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and tradition.

A proud Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan, Susan brought enthusiasm and joy to every game day. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest fulfillment came from caring for her family. She lived a rich life of diverse hobbies and interests ranging from skiing and bowling leagues to archery and trap shooting. A favorite tradition of hers was their annual Canadian fishing trip. She also loved crocheting, crafting, and shopping and looked forward every year of Black Friday and Saturday holiday shopping trips.

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack; her sons, Timothy (Michele “Micky”) Abhold and Andrew (Michelle) Abhold; furry son, Dexter; and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Alison Abhold. She is further survived by her sister, Jaynie Hoes; brother, Christopher (Kelly) Carlson; sisters-in-law Kathryn Carlson, Christine Abhold, and Cindy Abhold; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her furry son, Riley; parents; her brother, Peter Carlson; her in-laws, Edward and Virginia Abhold; and brothers-in-law, Jerry and Jeffery Abhold.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at The Dome, 1338 S. Commercial St., Neenah.
