Obituary

Patrick Joseph Carroll, 63, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2025. He was born on January 19, 1962, to the late Robert and Winifred (Leydon) Carroll, in Deerfield, Illinois. Pat went on to earn his CPA, and then became an entrepreneur.

Patrick lived a life overflowing with creativity, humor, and heart. A gifted musician, he wrote over 80 songs and played the banjo, with a special love for folk music, which his late wife wasn't super fond of. He even wrote a musical that will be playing at a theater in Kaukauna in the near future. He was always making others laugh—whether through his self-deprecating humor, his clumsy charm, or his habit of doing everything with a funny twist.

Patrick was multitalented in every corner of life: a golfer, an extravagant cook who loved hosting dinners, a wreath-maker at Christmastime, and someone who approached every task with intelligence and intention. Pat was also recognized in Future Neenah for his Christmas decor. He was known for being humble, for losing things often (sometimes even finding them in his pocket the next day), and for pouring his whole heart into the people around him. Pat touched countless lives with his kindness, his creativity, and the biggest heart anyone could know. His life was rich with stories, full of love, and impossible to narrow into a single line—because he truly lived many.

Pat is survived by his children: Chelsea (Crook) Kaiser, Brittnee Bliss, Emmett Carroll; grandchildren: Cameron Kaiser, Clay Kaiser; siblings: Ellen Gahart, Tom Carroll, Bob Carroll.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

It was wonderful growing up in Deerfield Illinois with wonderful neighbors . We were lucky to know the Carrolls. My parents lived on the street for over 60 years and it was a sad day when Patrick and Ellen moved away. We love your family. So sorry Bob and Ellen . Hope to see you again.

The Carroll's were the reason we were able to survive in Deerfield Illinois in the 60's into the late 70's! My mother and my two sisters along with yours truly (Jo and I were married in 1975, so I was out then) were renters of a home owned by Patrick's parents, who lived next door. My mother was, I would guess, called a nanny, to their children Bobby, Ellen and Patrick. I personally have been so grateful (will continue to be) to have known Mr and Mrs Carroll and the whole family. Although the connection to all of them has been separated by circumstances, this news is devastating. Tom, Ellen, Bobby my sincere condolences to you all. I have the utmost respect and love to the Carroll's for all of the kind care you all gave my mother and forever will I keep your family in my heart and in my prayers. Peace be with you. I am deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of a truly kind, generous, and thoughtful friend. Pat had a beautiful heart, infectious personality and wonderful smile. He was very generous without expecting anything in return. His spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. Pat you will be deeply missed and forever remembered with gratitude and love. RIP, Much Love, Todd
