Obituary
Waida Felker was born on February 10, 1928 in Neenah, and passed away peacefully late Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William and Linda Luebke and a graduate of Neenah High School, class of 1946. Waida married John Felker on May 14, 1949. They were married for 67 wonderful years before John’s passing on September 27, 2016. They were blessed with two wonderful daughters and their families: Linda (Doug) Kraus, and Mary (Mark) Bauernfeind, both from Neenah.
Waida was an active and loving member of her church. She served on the Church Council, was the choir director for many years, and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Ladies Workshop and served on numerous other committees. Waida also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed reading with elementary school children that needed help. She gave many hours to volunteering at Theda Clark Hospital as well.
Waida will be sadly missed by her daughters: Linda (Doug) and Mary (Mark); grandchildren: Kristina (Jose); Mike (Stephanie); Ashley; Mark (Gretchen); and others, including her eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Luebke; and by several nieces and nephews.
Waida was preceded in death by her bothers, William and Earl Luebke; brother-in-law and his wife, Robert and Jan Felker; and by John’s parents, Walter and Marie Felker.
A funeral service for Waida will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Congregational United Church of Christ, 1511 Nicolet Blvd., Neenah, with Rev. Tom Fritz officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Waida will be laid to rest alongside John at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Waida wanted to thank Linda and Mary and their families for their loving kindness and care. “I’m saying goodbye for now, but I ‘ll see you again. Love you all, Mom”
With sincere gratitude, Waida’s family would like to thank the staffs at Valley VNA and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all of your care and compassion.
A memorial fund will be established.
