It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Robert Krueger, 49, of Neenah, WI, a beloved son, brother, uncle “Richie”, and friend, who left us peacefully on December 13, 2025, at Cherry Meadows Hospice surrounded by the love and support of his family. He was born on February 7, 1976, in Oshkosh, WI, to Deborah and Gordon Krueger. Rich’s infectious laugh and genuine personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
Throughout his life, Rich embodied the spirit of kindness and generosity. His simple nature and willingness to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need made him a beacon of light in the lives of many. If anyone asked him for anything, he gave without hesitation. His selfless heart, gentle nature and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Richard had a myriad of interests that brought him joy – especially his love for singing and music. He was an avid Wisconsin Sports and Nascar fan, cheering on his teams with passion and enthusiasm. He loved attending his niece and nephew’s sporting events and found great joy in spending time watching Disney movies, that brought out the kid in him. His pastime of playing card games, especially with his maternal grandparents, was a source of countless cherished memories. Rich being the first grandchild, shared an incredibly special bond with them – one built on love and loyalty that will never be forgotten. He also had a keen eye for collecting Hallmark trinkets and sports cards, showcasing his unique interests and hobbies.
Rich dedicated a significant part of his life to his work at Piggly Wiggly, where he became known for his kindness and willingness to help others, spreading joy to children and building relationships with colleagues and patrons. His genuine lovable nature left a lasting impression on all those who crossed his path.
Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Beverly Schumacher, his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Edna Krueger, and his cherished cousin, Nicole Schumacher. He is survived by his loving brother, Matthew Krueger, his children Preston and Madison, his fiancé Albina, along with her children Altai and Aydin. He also leaves behind his devoted sister, Kayla Fournier, her spouse Jason, and their children Kinsley and Tatum. Richard shared a special bond with his godparents, Robert Schumacher and Jean Davis, who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family was always at the center of Rich’s life. His family was his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in being an active part of their lives.
In his final days, the compassionate staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice provided Richard with comfort and dignity, allowing him to transition with grace. Their dedication and care made a profound difference, and Richard’s family is eternally grateful for their support.
Richard Robert Krueger will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter, genuine spirit, heart of gold, and the love he shared with all those around him. Though he has left this world, his memory will remain alive in the hearts of family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Richard. You will be greatly missed but your spirit will live on in the countless lives you touched.
A memorial service will be held Thursday December 18, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W Doty Ave, Neenah, WI 54956. A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the time of service. As a testament to the love Richard showed in life, his family suggests memorial donations be made to the Milwaukee Children's Hospital in his name from the link below, ensuring that his spirit of giving continues to thrive.
