Obituary
Carrie M. Kippenhan (Kaufman), age (61), succumbed to brain cancer and was reunited with her Mother, Father, Sister-in-law, and three brothers on January 29, 2026 at Hospice of Lenawee in Adrian Michigan. She was born in Appleton, WI to the late Jack and Joyce Kaufman (Mangan) along with her four brothers, John, Tom, Jim, and Roger. Carrie received many visitors, both friends and family, along with love and support in her final weeks.
Carrie married the boy next door, Jeff Kippenhan on June 8th, 1985. Together they had two children, Kevin and Cody Kippenhan. She never ran out of Love to give for her family. She was at her mother’s side during her final hours, and she was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was an avid sports fan of the Packers and Brewers. She liked decorating her home, doing diamond painting kits, and hand picking strawberries with her Grandchildren and late Sister-in-law. Carrie will be missed by many family and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, and three brothers Jim, Tom, and John Kaufman. Her Sister-in-law Karen Kippenhan passed unexpectedly in Sept which affected her deeply.
She is survived by her loving children, Kevin (Crystal) Kippenhan, Cody (Stephanie) Kippenhan, her husband, Jeff Kippenhan, grandchildren, Mercedes and Ariel Kippenhan, Lily and Emma Kippenhan, brother Roger Kaufman, and seven nieces and nephews (Michelle, Steven, Rachel, Sara, Aaron, Joe, and Heidi).
The family thanks Hospice of Lenawee staff for making her last days comfortable. The family would also like to thank everyone who was able to donate during this challenging time.
The Celebration of Life for Carrie will be held at 12:00-4:00pm on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026 at Neenah Memorial Park George Sherck Building (1175 Apple Blossom Dr, Neenah, WI 54956). She will be laid to rest with her Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, Sister-in-law, and Grandparents at Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega in the Spring of 2026.
A mother's love is always with her children. Mom, you left us beautiful memories; your love will always be our guide. Although we cannot see you, we know you are right there by our side.
