Marny was born October 23, 1952, in Minneapolis, MN to the late James and Betty Stricker. On May 10, 1980, she married the love of her life, Nolan “Butch” Prillwitz, and together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Their son, Ryan, born July 8, 1985, currently serves in the United States Coast Guard on the ice breaker Cutter Polar Star.
Marny was a dedicated and devoted woman who worked at Kimberly-Clark for many years. She kept busy after retirement, volunteering at the WELS bargain garden and the WELS Food Pantry. She also worked with the SCORE program, which provides mentoring and business resources to entrepreneurs and small businesses and for Tax-Aide, providing tax preparation assistance.
Marny enjoyed traveling and, with camera in hand, created cherished memories. She had a creative spirit and used her artistic abilities and provided a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was an avid reader and always shared her favorite books with her friends. Her pride in Ryan and his military service in the Coast Guard was always on display with pictures in hand and stores to tell. Marny was always willing to solve a problem and offer steady support. She was the anchor of her family, providing unwavering love and strength in every circumstance.
Marny is survived by her beloved husband, Butch; their son, Ryan; sister, Nancy Stricker and niece, Melissa Matson; brother, James Stricker III and his wife, Karen and niece, Laura Beth Vardaro (Laura’s husband Al and daughter Adalynn).
