I just learned of Dr. Sickels passing. He was such a wonderful man. My mom has always said he was “the best boss she ever had.” And an amazing doctor. He literally saved my life in 1995. Sending love and prayers to him family.

I know Bill from First Presbyterian Church. I always enjoyed seeing Bill and Becky at First Presbyterian Church and church events, including an event they hosted at their home years ago. Very warm and friendly people. My deepest sympathies to the Sickel family.

The residents of Island Shores will always remember Bill's surprise gifts of roses. A joy! We also remember the colorful shirt he wore, made by his wife. Both residents and their families will miss the positive, caring, charming energy of Bill Sickels.

Dr. Bill expressed an interest in learning how to play the pipe organ. I offered to teach him, but he declined, saying that it was too complicated. My response was that once upon a time he didn't know a descending colon from an aorta, but he figured it out. I'm sure he would have enjoyed learning the pipe organ too.
