Laurie Lamers

Laurie A. Lamers, age 66, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026. Born to Eugene and Irene Lamers, Laurie spent most of her life in Wisconsin, where she built a life centered around family, laughter, adventure, and generosity.

Laurie had a passion for shopping of every kind and could turn any outing into a treasure hunt. She especially loved traveling to Arizona for work and enjoyed exploring the country through road trips and adventures along the way. One of her favorite destinations was Shipshewana, where she delighted in visiting the famous flea markets and craft sales in search of unique finds and gifts for those she loved.

Above all, Laurie adored her family. She cherished spending time together during holidays and family meals, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She had a special bond with her great nieces, whom she loved dearly, especially spoiling them with shopping trips and babysitting adventures.

Christmas was Laurie’s favorite season, and she embraced it with unmatched enthusiasm. Her family will forever remember the mountain of carefully chosen gifts she gave each year and the overwhelming love she showed through her generosity. Laurie also had a well-known habit of running late, something that became an endearing part of who she was and a memory that now brings smiles to those who knew her best.

Laurie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, adventurous spirit, and love for family will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her siblings Michael Lamers (Cheryl Buelow) and Lynn (Rocky) Wildenberg; niece: Stephanie Lamers; great-nephew: Mason; and great-nieces: Avianna and Amaya. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and many friends.

A memorial a service will be held Wednesday May 13, 2026, at 4pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Combined Locks, 410 Wallace St, Combined Locks, WI 54113, at 4:00 pm. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Following the service a celebration of life will be held at The Gathering Hub, 728 Schelfhout Ln, Kimberly, WI 54136.
