Obituary

Brian Richard Palmer, age 73, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. He was born September 19, 1952, in Shawano, son of the late Bruce and Sally (Wolfgram) Palmer.

Brian graduated from Shawano High School shortly after the passing of his dad. After graduation, he attended the Fox Valley Technical Institute in Oshkosh for two years. He then moved to Green Bay and was employed by Camera Corner before receiving his Associate’s Degree in Electronics.

Brian and Debbie Fenner met at the wedding of Debbie’s sister, Karen and Brian’s brother, Steve. Five months later, while Debbie was recovering from a serious car accident, Brian proposed. They were married on April 29, 1978.

Brian and Debbie both pursued careers at Thrivent; Brian as an Audio Visual Engineer, working in a studio he proudly helped design. Together, Brian and Debbie homeschooled their three children.

Brian was a 32 year member of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah. He enjoyed teaching, grilling, Packer games, fine audio, Star Trek, sci-fi, and watching movies. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family (and cat) at home.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; three children: Kaitlin Palmer, Brandon Palmer, Brian C. (Jess) Palmer; two brothers: Dan (Barb) Palmer and Steve Palmer. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Karen Palmer; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Fenner.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM, on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah, with Pastor Caleb Roth officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00PM until the service. A reception to follow in the fellowship hall at 5:00PM.
